Cyprus E-Auctions Maintain 20% Success Rate

Electronic property auctions in Cyprus held a steady 20% success rate throughout 2025, matching performance levels from 2024, according to operational data released by ACB E-Auctions Ltd.

Concurrently, 37% of all scheduled auctions were canceled prior to bidding, driven primarily by out-of-court settlements and restructured repayment agreements reached between creditors and borrowers before the properties reached the auction block.

Writing in the 2025–2026 Annual Review of the Association of Cyprus Banks (ACB), ACB E-Auctions supervisor Iraklis Giannakou highlighted that high pre-auction cancellation rates reflect a growing trend toward amicable debt resolutions. Giannakou noted that transparent, up to date listing data provided via the digital platform plays a direct role in encouraging debtors and financial institutions to reach agreement early.
