Through the Cyprus Bank Employers’ Association, member banks finalized negotiations with employee unions, officially ratifying the new sector-wide collective agreement for 2023–2027 in December 2025. The agreement guarantees sustained industrial peace, introduces balanced pay structures, and enhances staff leave provisions.

On the European stage, Dr. Rossidis represents Cyprus within the Banking Committee for European Social Affairs of the European Banking Federation (EBF-BCESA) and Sectoral Social Dialogue meetings. A major international milestone was reached on January 15, 2026, in Brussels, where social partners signed a joint declaration to prevent workplace violence and harassment. The declaration was co-signed by former ACB Director General Dr. Michalis Kammas, who completed a 12 year tenure as Vice-President of the EBF-BCESA.

Proactive Cyber Threat Monitoring and Public Awareness

To counter evolving financial cybercrime, the Association’s dedicated Cybercrime Working Group works alongside regulatory bodies, including the Digital Security Authority (DSA) and the Central Bank of Cyprus. Key initiatives include:

  • Multi Media Anti Scam Blitz: A targeted spring campaign executed with Mastercard Cyprus across TV, radio, and digital channels, educating citizens to identify and avoid phishing, smishing, and vishing attempts.
