The third quarter of 2024 saw a significant rise in job vacancies in Cyprus, with a total of 16,010 positions available—a 30.4% increase compared to the 12,274 openings recorded during the same period in 2023, according to data released on Monday by the Statistical Service.
Quarterly Growth Highlights
The number of job vacancies also rose sharply when compared to the previous quarter, increasing by 2,232 positions, or 16.2%.
The job vacancy rate for Q3 2024 stood at 3.5%, up from 3% in Q2 2024 and 2.9% in Q3 2023, reflecting a consistent upward trend.

The construction industry reported 2,849 open positions, while manufacturing had 1,470 vacancies, with vacancy rates of 3.2% and 3.8%, respectively.
