This steady growth underscores the sector&#8217;s continued recovery and importance to the Cypriot economy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourist Spending Patterns<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Analysis of tourist expenditure revealed an increase in the average amount spent per person in September 2024. Visitors spent an average of \u20ac891.29 during their stay, a 1.4% rise compared to the \u20ac879.13 recorded in September 2023.<\/p>\n<p>A breakdown of spending by major tourist markets highlighted varying patterns. Tourists from the United Kingdom, representing the largest share of visitors at 35.5% of the total in September 2024, spent an average of \u20ac112.35 per day. Israeli tourists, making up the second-largest group with a 10.7% share, recorded higher daily spending at \u20ac150.63.
