The first of five specially designed Instagram spots, offering picturesque settings for photos, has been unveiled at Fig Tree Bay in Protaras, according to an announcement by the municipality on Saturday.
This new Instagram spot features a large white frame that presents a stunning backdrop. On one side, visitors can capture the scenic view of the beach, while the other side offers a view of what’s known as “the first sunrise of Europe,” the municipality explained.
In addition to this spot at Fig Tree Bay, three more Instagram frames are set to be installed in the Protaras tourist area, with another one planned for the central square in Pernera.
Paralimni-Dherynia Mayor George Nikolettos and Frenaros Deputy Mayor Kosta Michail visited Fig Tree Bay to check out the new Instagram spot in person.
A sign written in Greek at the location reads: “Where the blue of the sky blends with the blue of the sea.”
